Engaging Fatherhood Conference & Resource Fair

The DADS Committee of Spokane is hosting a free event with workshops for parents and professionals. The keynote speaker will be Mac Bledsoe, the author of Parenting with Dignity. Lunch will be provided. It will be held on June 15th, at the Spokane Community College Lair, 1810 N Greene St, from 9am to 4pm. Free Children's Program

Book readings of “Tea Time With Sophia Grace and Rosie” and “The Prince, the Princess, and the Bee” at the EWU Bookstore, on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m. After story time, the children will be creating their own personal crowns during a special craft time. Small refreshments will be provided.

Scholarships for Mobius summer camps are still available!

The H.O.M.E. Program is sponsoring children to attend the Mobius Science Center’s educational summer camps this summer. Please come to the H.O.M.E. Program office in 207 Monroe Hall to pick up a scholarship application to send your child to one of the various Mobius camps of your choice this summer.

Mobius Planetarium

The H.O.M.E. Program and Mobius Science Center are inviting EWU student parents and their children to experience a 45-minute trip into space in a digital planetarium! This is an exciting experience for both parents and children that won't soon be forgotten! Best of all this is a FREE event! The show will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 6PM in the PUB MPR. Space is limited, please RSVP by 4/26/2013 by calling H.O.M.E. at 359-4237, or by email at home@ewu.edu.

Family Fun Fair

The 3rd annual Family Fun Fair at River Park Square & Wall St. is one of the many events that occur during the Spokane Lilac Festival,  a city-wide celebration which draws an attendance of 200,000+ during Festival week.

The parenting expo starts after the 62nd Annual Junior Lilac Parade. The long-standing Spokane area tradition doubles as a competition for 8,000 middle school, junior high school ,and elementarily school bands and drill teams throughout the Inland Northwest.
